The Chapel

Bath, Somerset

Mitchell Eley Gould were appointed as architects for the re-development of the old gospel hall located in Bath. The building has a rich history and was primarily used as a medical mission during World War 2. Although the building is not listed great care and attention to detail has been given to the adaption of this unique heritage asset. A change of use to this building in order to provide four new two bed dwellings, required a thorough planning process, which led to consent being given in 2016. The works commenced on site in 2017 and completion was acheived in 2018. Mitchell Eley Gould worked closely with the client to understand the requirements of the brief and following a period of significant design development were able to table a proposal that was both creative and looked to enhance this Heritage Asset, providing a total of 4 new two bed dwellings.
